What is a Seed Library?

A seed library is a community resource where citizens can access seeds for their gardening needs. The Ware Shoals Seed Library goes beyond providing seeds; it aims to empower our community by promoting sustainable agriculture, fostering community engagement, educating our community on best-growing practices, and enhancing food security. Each household can obtain up to 5 packets of seeds per week, free of charge! It’s an opportunity for everyone to start their own garden, grow their own produce, and contribute to a more sustainable and self-sufficient community. Join us at the grand opening to learn more about how seed libraries work and how you can get involved!
