Women’s Health Classic announces schedule of events

Organizers of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic (https://www.stoneypointclassic.com) have announced the lineup of activities for this year’s week-long event, which for the second consecutive year has posted the Symetra Tour’s largest purse of $200,000, as well as the largest charitable donation on the 22-stop national tour. Tournament activities are scheduled May 4-10, 2015.

 

In addition to the 144 golfers from the Symetra Tour – Road to the LPGA, the tournament will host many of the LPGA Legends Tour players, as well as players from the Solheim Cup for pro-am events. Highlights include a mentoring breakfast with Symetra Tour golfers and LPGA legend golfers, a golf clinic held in partnership with Greenwood County School Districts, and a 5K on the course with Girls on the Run.

Monday, May 4

  • 8:30 a.m., High End Shotgun
  • Noon, Pro Am Lunch and Merchandise Shopping Experience
  • 1:30 p.m., High End Shotgun
  • 7 p.m., “Meet the Pros” Reception at The Links at Stoney Point

Tuesday, May 5

  • 7:30 a.m., Breakfast at The Arts Center
  • 8:30 a.m., Mentoring Session at the Greenwood Community Theatre
  • 1:30 p.m., Pro Am

Wednesday, May 6

  • Youth Clinic

Friday, May 8

  • 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., Pub Crawl in Uptown Greenwood
  • Girls on the Run 5K at Stoney Point (300+ runners, including Girls on the Run participants)

Saturday, May 9

  • 7 p.m., Band & Fireworks at Hole #13

Sunday, May 10

  • Mother’s Day Brunch
  • Award Ceremony

 

Tickets to the tournament are $5 per day, $15 for the three-day tournament, and free parking will be available at the Links at Stoney Point. For tournament tickets, tickets to other events, and sponsor information, call 942-0900.
