Wells Dunlap Promoted to Commercial Relationship Manager Greenwood, S.C. – Countybank is pleased to announce the promotion of Rufus Thornwell “Wells” Dunlap, V, to the role of Commercial Relationship Manager. Dunlap joined Countybank in 2013 and previously served as Commercial Credit Analyst and CRA Officer and was responsible for underwriting various credit requests and handling various portfolio administration activities for the bank. In his new position, Dunlap will focus on developing new business relationships while managing and expanding existing Countybank commercial client relationships within the Greenwood portfolio.

Dunlap holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Presbyterian College and has completed Leadership Greenwood and the South Carolina Bankers School. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greenwood County Community Foundation, the Greenwood Museum, the South Carolina Young Banker’s Association, and Community Initiatives. “We are proud to welcome Wells to the commercial lending team,” said David Tompkins, Senior Vice President, Greenwood Market Executive of Countybank.

“His experience in the credit administration area, in addition to leadership activities related to his community involvement in Greenwood, leave him well positioned to make great contributions in his new role on the business development side of the bank.”

“Wells’ move to our commercial team will allow him to further leverage the solid credit foundation that he has developed for the benefit of our organization within the Greenwood market,” said Ken Harper, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Countybank.

“I am excited to watch and support Wells in this next phase of his career development, as he looks to create new client relationship opportunities, and deepen those who presently maintain strong ties with Countybank.”
