According to the National Weather Service,
The concern for our area is what they call a “squall line”. This is a strong line of thunderstorms that separates the warm air from the cooler air. These lines have a potential for creating sudden and severe straight line winds that can topple trees, damage roofs, and be dangerous for school buses.
Our local forecast is showing the line moving through Friday between 11 am and 8 pm. Pockets of heavy rain and wind gusts 30-35 mph.
