On December 3, 2019 at approximately 7:50 am, Deputies with the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office met with a property owner in a wooded area off of US 178 North in Greenwood County. The complainant had located an unconscious male individual lying in the wood line. Greenwood County EMS responded to the scene and transported the individual to Self-Regional Healthcare where he is listed as in critical condition.
The victim has been positively identified, but his identity is not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation. Greenwood County and Abbeville County Investigators are currently working the incident as an Attempted Murder and no further details can be released at this time.
