Sallie Walker Jennings Rice Obituary
Sallie Walker Jennings Rice, 93, former resident of McCormick, widow of William Richard Jennings and Edwin Clough Rice, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living.
Born December 2, 1930, in Troy she was a daughter of the late Allen R. and Rebecca Young Walker. She was a member of Troy United Methodist Church and an avid golfer.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne Jennings and wife Mary Lee and Jerry Jennings and wife Claudia, both of Greenwood; one daughter, Vicki Drennon and husband Tommy of Starr; a sister, Belle Storey of Washington, GA; four grandchildren, Jason Jennings and wife Beth of Simpsonville, Mathis Jennings and wife Jessica of Omaha, NE, Elizabeth Martin and husband Ryan of Kernersville, NC, Ashleigh Craft and husband Austin of Anderson; eight great-grandchildren, Molley and Bret Jennings, Charlotte and Caroline Jennings, Elijah, Anna, and Caleb Martin, and Grey Craft.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Friday at Blyth Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Capps and Rev. Kile Antone officiating.
A private burial will be at Plum Branch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11-12 Friday morning.
