I called the developer of the Shops at Publix today to inquire about what stores will be inhabiting the buildings beside the new 49,000 square foot supermaket, which is scheduled to open in late August. The reply was that the businesses want to make the announcements themselves, so I will continue to dig. I was told, contrary to earlier reports, 5 Guys Burgers has not purchased one of the retail spaces.
According to the developers: Greenwood’s newest retail center Publix Pavilion is is slated to open in late August.
This exciting new center will include a brand new 49,000 square foot Publix Grocery Store and over 20,000 square feet of new retail shops and restaurants. The new retail shops can range from 1,300 square feet to 6,500 square feet. The shops can be delivered in finish ready condition which will greatly reduce the time needed for new businesses’ to open. Demand for the new small shop space has been brisk and we anticipate the center will fill quickly.
This center integrates the Greenwood Promenade as well and offers a great mix of existing tenants and services. Space is also available in this portion of the center and will provide excellent visibility from HWY 72 and increased traffic from the new grocery anchor.
There is an out parcel available for lease.
Leasing Agents can be reached at (910)763-4669 Ext. 221.

Panera Bread …. Please!!!!!!
Someone just said on their fb that Greenwood was going to get a Panera Bread so maybe that is what its going to be. Also I am not sure if anyone has reported yet what the building is going to be that is behind the Sphinx store, but someone told it is going to be another Wal-Mart. Can anyone verify that?
