Pathway House in Greenwood named South Carolina’s only Regional Finalist for prestigious Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award

Greenwood's Pathway

Greenwood, SC – Greenwood Pathway House will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, to discuss the organization’s status as a Regional Finalist for the Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award. Location: 310 Panola Avenue Greenwood, SC.
Greenwood Pathway House is the only organization in South Carolina to receive the prestigious Regional Finalist status from more than 2,200 nominations nationwide. This selection puts Pathway House in the running for a grant, which will range from $30,000 to $200,000.
Anthony Price, Pathway House executive director, will discuss what the finalist status means for the organization, how the public can vote to help determine the ultimate award winners, and explain how the Pathway House initiative, Pathway Village, addresses three systemic nationwide problems in how family homelessness is addressed.
Brian Whitaker, Chick-fil-A operator in Greenwood, nominated the Pathway Village for the award.
“As we enter the voting stage, which runs Sept. 1 – 23, we will be asking people to go to the Chick-fil-A app and vote for Greenwood Pathway House,” Price said. “While the voting does not select the winners, each vote does add to the score that our organization has already accrued in the scoring process to date. Therefore, it is very important to have the public vote for Pathway House to help South Carolina families overcome homelessness permanently.”
Media will have the opportunity to tour Pathway House and Pathway Village during the event and learn more about the Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards program.
