Parks: Keeping the Green in Greenwood
LIKE and COMMENT! Like your favorite South Greenwood Park concept drawing and/or comment on particular components of each drawing! Over the next month, the City will be soliciting public comments to create an overall vision for a park on Foundry Road.
Concept A – Concept A keeps the largest amount of existing tree canopy of the 3 concepts. The concept proposes two playground areas be located in close proximity of the John Lamb Community Center.
Concept B – Concept B has the largest number of added parking spaces of the 3 concepts. Travel is connected from the green space to the John Lamb Center. Parking could be used as overflow parking for events held at the John Lamb Community Center. Concept B also includes a community garden.
Concept C – Concept C has the most “active” recreation components of the three concepts. The plan includes a vision for 3 full court basketball courts, a baseball/softball field, and/or multi-purpose field. The parking and roadway is connected to the John Lamb Community Center.
