Multiple Fights Break Out at GHS Jamboree
Several fights causing series injuries broke out at last night’s Football Jamboree at Greenwood High School. District 50 cancelled the Jamboree.
Multiple people sustained injuries and were taken to Self Regional.
Reports of shots fired on social media are under investigation at this time. Sheriff Kelly is asking anyone with information or video of the event to contact the Greenwood Sheriff’s Office.
District 50 Director of Communications Johnathan Graves provided the following statement: “We had multiple fights take place near the concession stand tonight at the GHS jamboree. There were no gunshots fired during this incident. Law enforcement was on the scene and and swiftly responded and resolved the incident. Multiple individuals sustained injuries during the incident and those with major injuries were transported by EMS to Self Regional. The incident is currently under investigation by law enforcement and there were individuals taken into custody. The jamboree was cancelled.”
