County Council to Consider Masterplan for Greenwood County Recreation Complex
Greenwood, S.C. – Greenwood County Council has announced plans to consider a final version of the Greenwood County Recreation Complex Masterplan at their meeting on Tuesday, February 15.
The plan includes multiple baseball and multi-purpose fields, tennis and pickleball courts, an ADA-compliant playground and will keep the current farmer’s market as it is now.
“Tuesday’s meeting will mark a significant milestone in the more than two-year life span of this project,” Robbie Templeton, Greenwood County councilman, said. “This plan will work to not only enhance the underutilized asset of the Wilbanks Sports Complex, but also will serve as an economic driver for our county. This renovation will help us meet our current needs and help us to continue building a better future for all of Greenwood County.”
Greenwood County Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 15, in the Greenwood County Library’s American Veteran’s Auditorium.
