Mark Lamar Hancock, Sr., 66, of Bradley, husband of Peggy Lindley Hancock, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late James Lewis Hancock and Loretta Ouzts Hancock Mattison. Mark retired form Capsugel after working 44 years and was a member of Ninety Six Church of God. He cherished spending time golfing, playing the piano, and rooting for the Gamecocks. Mark also had a special love for nature and enjoyed leisurely rides in his truck. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Hancock and Lynn Hancock; and sisters, Carole Roark, Peggy Hallman and Jackie Crouch.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Mark Hancock, Jr., Lori Kaye Laughlin and Jennifer Hill; stepdaughter, Brantley Laughlin; sister, Rita Nobles; grandchildren, Jakob Moore, Aiden Moore, Camden Moore, Loretta Moore, Noah Hancock, Miles Hancock, Mason Hancock, Watson Hill and Jeremiah Hill; and step grandchildren, Kinsley Crawford and Branson Satterfield.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, March 29, 2024, at Ninety Six Church of God. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Hancock, Jr., Noah Hancock, Miles Hancock, Jakob Moore, Aiden Moore, Camden Moore and David Laughlin, II.
The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 1:30-3:00 pm.
