Greenwood Friends, Maharajah Flamenco Trio Earn Global Music Award
Maharajah Flamenco Trio, who have performed in Greenwood multiple times (see GC screenshots below), have just taken home a Global Music Award for their latest album “Felices Dias”. MFT is David Cobb (originally from Greenwood, SC), Silviu Ciulei, and Ramin Yazdanpanah.
Maharajah Flamenco Trio delivers a moving and dynamic expression of Flamenco Nuevo (New or “modern” Flamenco), by blending traditional Spanish rhythms with jazz, classical, and world music.
And the Breaking News . . . according to Ramin:
Our album, “Felices Días”, just won a Global Music® Award (Bronze Medal: Nuevo Flamenco)! This album and achievement was only made possible with the leadership and support of all our amazing musicians, producers, engineers, arrangers, marketing team, university album liaison, and indie label executives, and of course, all our amazing friends, family, and fans of our music.”
Founded in 2011, Maharajah Flamenco Trio is the brainchild of Silviu Ciulei. Check out their impressive bios HERE
