Greenwood’s Growing again….
Remember walking into Blockbuster in the Kmart Plaza and renting a VHS and maybe a game for the kids, well that’s all a fond memory now. But soon walk into the same building, and you can purchase a 2 ton compact trolley jack. Greenwood’s getting a Harbor Freight. They carry lots of cool stuff. To check out their site, CLICK HERE.
Also, remember Waller Avenue . . . that cool cobblestone lane just off the square on Main Street? Uptown Sushi no longer resides there. Instead 217 Waller Ave in Uptown Greenwood is getting “UCHI” a fusion style Japanese-Korean restaurant. To save your fingers the trouble, Uchi is Japanese for “House.” Kalbi, fried dumplings and pickled veggies – yum!
The Textile building set just behind Lily the Mermaid has been purchased and plans are underway for residential living amid the cool music venues, festivals, shops, plays, restaurants and events found daily in Uptown Greenwood.
Howard’s on Main will be renovating as well adding a second story in the coming year.
Finally the new Super Walmart to be constructed between New York Pizza and Pasta and Jerry’s Produce . . . . will close (paperwork) later this month.

I’m excited about everything but ANOTHER Wal Mart.
Will be nice to have a Walmart in this part of town……just hope they keep it stocked better than the one we have now……that place is terrible.
yes jean that place has went down bad, stock is terrible, surely they will close the current one down,i dont think greenwood can support 2 walmarts
have you guys looked at your logo as compared to Greenville County? Seriously – Infringement? Not sure the slightly different color protects you.

Wow. They are similar. This is the first I’ve seen Greenville County’s logo. My logo was developed by Vista Print.
Forget the Walmart, we need a target!
There is activity going on in the old Dollar General store in Kmart plaza, does anyone know what is going in here?
