Greenwood Rocks

Greenwood Rocks is a fun, inexpensive activity for all ages. Greenwood Calendar started Greenwood Rocks on June 8, 2017, and in just 16 days, 3,737 Greenwoodians signed up. Today, there are over 6,400 members.

Our homebase is the Greenwood Rocks group on Facebook. Our playground is all of Greenwood County. What we do: we get rocks, we paint rocks, we label the back of rocks “post to #Greenwood Rocks”, we leave clues (most of the time) on our group page, we hunt and find rocks, we post our found rocks on the Greenwood Rocks page. We do it again.

People have expressed having so much fun getting together with family, friends, or individually to be creative and having a blast hiding and posting. Seeing your rocks pictured in the hands of someone happy because they found your rock is priceless.

Member posts are for pictures of painted rocks, clues, and pictures of found rocks. This keeps the clutter down. We’ve already hid thousands of rocks!
