Greenwood County Redistricting Map Released
Greenwood, S.C. – Greenwood County Council will give a second reading of the Reapportionment Ordinance (2022-1) of a redistricting plan and a public hearing will be held at the County Council meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 5:30 p.m.
Districts on the federal, state and local levels must be redrawn every 10 years after new census numbers come in to reflect changes in the population and ensure fair and equal representation for all residents.
A third and final reading of the proposed redistricting plan is scheduled for the March 1 council meeting.
