Greenwood Calendar Wins Statewide Media Award
GreenwoodCalendar.com has been awarded the statewide 2022 Media Award for its Greenwood Horticulture Video Series. The award was presented by the South Carolina Association of County Agricultural Agents in Florence, SC on May 11.

Clemson Extension Horticulturist and host of GreenwoodCalendar.com’s video series Stephanie Turner stated, “I nominated Robert Stevenson for the Media Award because his website and social media enterprise, Greenwood Calendar, has provided regular content segments featuring Extension and our activities in Greenwood County.”
Turner stated, “He records, edits, and hosts video clips in a segment titled ‘A Minute with Extension.’ The videos are circulated in a variety of platforms, including:
• Facebook posts
• Videos hosted on greenwoodcalendar.com
• Videos hosted on YouTube
“Since March 15th of 2021, Robert has produced and posted seven different segments (shown below).” Turner added, “Robert is an enthusiastic supporter of horticulture education and community engagement in Greenwood. He is extremely easy to work with and makes the process feel effortless.”
Stevenson said, “I am honored and humbled by this award. I love shooting the ‘A Minute with Extension’ series. Stephanie, along with frequent guests, consistently provide important information about gardens and lawns specific to our county, and they do so in a fun and interesting way.”
