96 SCARECROWS

Goal: 96 SCARECROWS.
$0 entry fee; FREE EVENT
Rules:
1. An application must be completed and submitted before you erect your scarecrow.
2. every scarecrow entry must be 3 ft away from the road in all directions.
3. No vulgarity, nudity, obscenity, or representation of alcoholic beverages or tobacco.
4. A weatherproof sign must accompany your design.
5. Scarecrow entries must be up by October the 1st and must be taken down by November 1st.
6. The Town of 96, it’s employees, and or volunteers are not responsible for any destruction or damage to the scarecrows displays.

This year, judging will be by:
1: Three out-of-town judges who will choose winners in each categories:
*Best overall
*Best traditional scarecrow
*Scariest scarecrow
*Most original
*Best Business entry
*Best Church entry
*Best School entry

2. There will also be a PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD which will be a fundraiser for the 2025 SC FESTIVAL OF STARS.
*A PENNY PER VOTE to be taken to the town Hall. VOTING WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL OCTOBER 5TH AND WILL END ON OCTOBER THE 29TH.
THE TOP THREE WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON NOVEMBER 1ST.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SEPTEMBER 1 AT THE 96 VISITOR CENTER AND AT THE 96 TOWN HALL. There is no entry fee…it’s FREE to enter!
