Born and raised in Greenwood County in the home pictured below, went on to be President of Morehouse College for 27 years, Presidential Advisor to Presidents Kennedy, Johnson and Carter, Eulogist for Dr. Martin Luther King, with 56 Honorary Doctoral degrees.
