FULL DAY SESSION Age Group: Current 4th – 6th Grade
Come join us for some creative fun where we explore fiber art with finger crochet, looms and weaving, cross- stitch, and ukuleles. These activities will be woven together with lyric writing and stories to compliment the artwork. - Coding Camp – G. Frank Russell Technology Center – 601 E. Northside Drive FULL DAY SESSION Age Group: Current 4th – 8th Grade
In this camp, students will learn the basics of coding and robotics. Through blockly code, they will learn how to control a variety of robots including Sphero Bolt, Sphero Indi, littleBits and Ozobots. Using their new skills of building and coding robots students will complete a series of challenges! - Game Inventor – G. Frank Russell Technology Center – 601 E. If you enjoy making rockets, you will love designing and building cars that work with various power sources. Join this group as they race into the future! - Visual and Performing Arts Camp – Brewer Middle School – 1000 Emerald Road FULL DAY SESSION Age Group: Current 4th – 5th Grade
During this camp, students will be introduced to 5 areas offered by ACTS: music (band & voice), dance, theatre, visual arts. Students will have the opportunity to study all of the art areas and will participate in a Musical Theatre Workshop. - Young Chef Academy – G. Frank Russell Technology Center – 601 E. Northside Drive
MORNING SESSION ONLY: 8:00am – 11:30am Age Group: Current 6th – 8th Grade
Are you interested in learning some basic cooking skills? Do you want to see if Culinary Arts is a possible field for you? Come for a 3-day introductory camp at RTC’s Culinary Arts program! We will introduce you to baking, safe knife usage, and basic cooking methods and flavor profiles. Selected items will include pies, pound cakes, fried rice, egg rolls, chicken & waffles, burgers, fresh-cut fries, and fresh breads (baked and grilled varieties).
Requirement: All students must wear closed-toe shoes. Students with long hair must have it pulled back.
