D50 Announces New Executive Director of Human Resources
Lisa McMillan has been named the new Executive Director of Human Resources for Greenwood School District 50.
McMillan comes to D50 from Greenwood Mills, Inc. where she has been the Human Resources Director for six and a half years. Before that she worked as an attorney for seven years after graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2007. McMillan holds a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College and a master’s degree from the University of Warwick in Coventry, England.
“I’m looking forward to making Greenwood School District 50 my new work home and getting to know all the administrators, teachers, and staff in this new role,” said McMillan.
Greenwood has been home to McMillan and her family,
including her two children who attend D50 schools, since 2010. She is an active member in the community, serving on the Greenwood Arts Center Board and attending Greenwood Chamber of Commerce meetings and events. She is a member of the Leadership Greenwood Class of 2018 and received the Greenwood Under 45 Stars award in 2021.
“I am excited to have Mrs. McMillan joining the D50 family. We are looking forward to her human resources experience, legal knowledge, and the leadership she will bring with her from her many years of experience,” said Superintendent Glenn.
McMillan will begin with Greenwood School District 50 before the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
