On February 3, 2022 at approximately 9:26 AM the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office received a request for a welfare check at 104 Cape Cod Ct in Ninety Six. Upon arrival Deputies attempted to make contact through various methods that were all unsuccessful. Deputies ultimately forced entry into the residence where two deceased subjects were located. Both of the deceased had suffered from a gunshot wound and a firearm was recovered.
At this point in the investigation the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office has no reason to believe anyone other than the deceased parties are involved.
The deceased were identified as Teresa Ann Ellis and Vincent Earl Ellis, both residents of the home.
