COUNTYBANK BOARD ELECTS JAMIE HEDGEPATH AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT 

Countybank announced the recent election of James T. “Jamie” Hedgepath as an Executive Vice President of the Bank.  Hedgepath, who serves as General Counsel and Chief Human Resource Officer, joined Countybank in 2022 with over 20 years of experience in employment and employee benefit law.  Hedgepath has held the title of Senior Vice President of Countybank since 2022 and was recently elected as an Executive Vice President by the Board of Directors.

Thornwell Dunlap III, President and CEO of Countybank and Chairman of the Board of Directors. “His thoughtful approach to developing and implementing Countybank’s workforce strategy has had a strong, positive impact on our company culture and enhanced our ability to recruit and retain the top talent in our industry.”

Hedgepath advises Countybank with respect to legal matters and he leads the development and execution of Countybank’s human resource strategy, including talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.

Prior to joining Countybank, Hedgepath was a partner at Nexsen Pruet, LLC where his practice focused on representing and advising employers on a wide range of employment and employee benefit related matters.  In addition, Hedgepath is a seasoned litigator and appellate practitioner, having tried cases in numerous courts as well as arguing and winning numerous appeals in state and federal appellate courts.

Hedgepath holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and an MBA and bachelor’s degree in economics from Clemson University. He is certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as an Employment and Labor Law Specialist. Hedgepath resides in Anderson, where he is an active member of the community and his church.
