COUNTYBANK AND GREENWOOD CAPITAL PRESENT DONATION TO UNITED WAY Countybank and Greenwood Capital recently donated $3,625 to United Way of Greenwood and Abbeville Counties. This donation continues a long-standing relationship between Countybank, Greenwood Capital, and United Way. “Countybank is honored to continue its support for United Way,” said David Tompkins, Senior Vice President, Greenwood Market Executive of Countybank. “As leaders in the community, partnering with United Way is one way we can affect positive change across our community.” Countybank and Greenwood Capital associates are involved in fundraising and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to support United Way. This includes “Casual for a Cause,” an opportunity for Countybank and Greenwood Capital associates to dress business casual the first Friday of each month in exchange for a donation to United Way. “Associates are actively invested in fundraising and volunteer efforts throughout the year,” said John Cooper, Private Client Investor for Greenwood Capital who also heads up associate volunteer opportunities. “This is just one way we are able to give back to and support our community on a regular basis.” Annual donations go toward Countybank and Greenwood Capital’s Pacesetter Campaign. Funds will be used to assist United Way’s partner organizations and projects that support the community, including Camp Soar, Stuff the Bus, and others. “A heartfelt thank you from United Way Board and Staff to Countybank and Greenwood Capital for your continued, faithful support of our community reinvestments. Your generous contribution demonstrates your corporate commitment to move the needle on education, health, and financial stability for the children and families of Greenwood and Abbeville Counties.” United Way of Greenwood and Abbeville Counties serves the community and raises funds to support more than 30 programs in 20 community benefit organizations. It also provides struggling families with financial assistance in addition to supporting programs that address food insecurity, childhood literacy, and healthcare access.
