COUNTYBANC INSURANCE CELEBRATES 100 YEARS OF BUSINESS IN THE UPSTATE
Greenwood, S.C. — Countybanc Insurance, an entity of Countybank, is proud to commemorate its 100th anniversary, providing exceptional insurance services and supporting the Upstate community since its inception in 1919 as the Dantzler Agency.
“Countybanc Insurance is first and foremost relationship oriented, and that is what differentiates us from our competitors,” said Rudy Painter, Vice President and Division Executive of Countybanc Insurance. “It has been 100 years in the making, and we are proud to celebrate such a significant milestone in our organization’s history.”
Olin M. Dantzler established the firm originally to sell fire and casualty insurance as an extension of a local real estate agency. Over time, the company acquired several other entities and began to expand in employees and specialized areas of insurance expertise.
In 1998 Countybank acquired Dantzler Insurance Agency in order to add insurance to its service offerings, and in 2005 Countybank moved into the Greenville market, expanding its reach across the Upstate. The organization has developed its lines of business over time and now offers a complete line of both personal and business insurance, including group health and life plans.
Now part of the Countybank family, which recently celebrated 85 years of business in the Upstate, Countybanc Insurance takes pride in being active and giving back to the Upstate community through volunteering and contributions. Countybanc Insurance, through the Countybank Foundation, has recently made donations to the Greenwood YMCA, the Greer Cultural Arts Council, and Ten at the Top in Greenville.
