Community Initiatives Announces New Leadership

 

 

Community Initiatives, Inc announces Brittney Wells as their new Board Chairperson who will succeed Rufus T. Wells Dunlap, V, as the next board chair.

 

Brittney Wells is the Regulatory and Quality Manager for Essential Ingredients, Inc., located in Lawrenceville, GA. Prior to joining Essential Ingredients, Brittney worked in various roles including Quality Control, Regulatory and Quality Assurance, at Capsugel®, now a Lonza Company.

 

Brittney completed her undergraduate degree at Lander University with a major in Chemistry and minor in Biology. She has also received a master’s degree in Management from Lander. Brittney currently resides in Greenwood, SC and also serves on the board of Greenwood Area Habitat for Humanity. She is also a steering committee member of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Council. Brittney’s hobbies include spending quality time with her family, being an active member of CrossFit Greenwood, and photography.

 

The board also welcomes Dr. Selynto Anderson, Vice President of Community Health & Health Equity at Self Regional Health Care who brings a wealth of knowledge and years of community focuses service as he joins the governing body of Community Initiatives, Inc.

 

Also returning to board are Attorney Leslie Fisk, Doug Kauffmann, Chris Thomas, and Dr. Jimmell Felder.

 

These community leaders have been elected to serve on the board for the next two years because of their commitment to education, wellness, and equity in healthcare and I look forward to working with them to fulfill the mission of Community Initiatives, Inc says Teresa Goodman, Executive Director.

 

Community Initiatives, Inc. is a nonprofit in Greenwood, SC that specializes in health and wellness.  Their free medical practice, La Clinica Gratis/The Free Clinic, and Thrive Hub benefits programs serve Greenwood, Abbeville, Saluda, Edgefield, McCormick, and Laurens Counties. The Safe Haven After School Program serves Greenwood County students.
