Bret Eric Ellison Obituary
Bret Eric Ellison, 69, former resident of Alabama, widower of Gayle Ellison, passed away January 14, 2024, at NHC of Clinton.
Born March 10, 1954, in Sylacauga, AL, he was a son of the late Frank Ellison and Winnie Bentley Harrison. He was a 1972 graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Piedmont Technical College. Bret retired from Winfield Electrical Company in Sylacauga. He was an avid folk artist in painting and word carving.
He was a member of Oak Chapel Baptist Church in Sylacauga, AL.
Surviving are a daughter, Karla Branham (Ronnie McIntosh) of Manning, SC; a son, Pablo Ellison of California; a brother, Chris Harrison (Abby) of Greenwood; a sister, Kelly Simpson of Greenwood; five step-children, Ashley Royal, Gina Bice (Mark), Cynthia McDaniel Smith (Dan), Loretta Oleson, and David McDaniel; eighteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
He was previously married, to the late Pat Vickers Ellison. He was predeceased by a brother, Ben Harrison; and a stepfather, Robet M. Harrison.
A memorial service will be conducted 11 AM Friday at Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Harrison officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
