Hey Greenwood,

This is Robert Stevenson. I created Greenwood Calendar as a labor of love. It was just a natural progression for me. I love media, and I love Greenwood.

I’ve worked in print journalism on and off for 30 years. In addition to a couple college newspapers, including the Lander Forum and the USC Gamecock, I also wrote for the Index Journal and the Greenville News. Since that time, I’ve had my columns published in multiple newspaper throughout the state, as well as in trade press and journals.

I also thoroughly enjoyed working in radio as well. I worked at WSCZ FM radio in Greenwood and at WPCC AM radio in Clinton.

I then became a blogger and podcaster for several years… My blog was called Rob’s Megaphone.

So about 6 years ago, I decided to work to fill a void (as I saw it) in online events, features, and news about Greenwood.
