Shooting Investigation/Greenwood County
Time of Press Release – Wednesday, February 13th, 2019, @09:50 AM
On Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 at approximately 6:32 pm GCSO Deputies responded to a 911 call at Wisewood Apartments located off of Florida Avenue in reference to the report of a female being shot.
It was reported at about 6:30 p.m. individuals were standing in the parking lot of the apartment complex when two unknown men, one wearing a dark hoodie and the other wearing a light hoodie, walked up and tried to rob them. A female was shot during the incident.
The shot struck the woman in the abdomen area of her body, and the would be robbers fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
The woman was transported to Self Regional Healthcare by Greenwood County EMS for treatment.
The scene was secured and GCSO Investigators responded to continue the investigation.
GCSO Investigators are still sorting of the details of the case. As of the time of this press release GCSO Investigators are still interviewing people in the case and looking into several leads.
