Edna Josephine Graham (Jo), 101, of Greenwood, passed away on January 14, 2024. Widow of Harry James Graham, she was born on October 5, 1922 to the late Barney and Anna Barton Dawson of Ulman, MO.

Jo attended public school in Ulman. After graduation from high school she studied at School of the Osage, Lake of the Ozarks, MO for 2 years and received a teaching certificate. She then taught in a one room schoolhouse for several years. When World War II broke out, Jo and her sister moved to Kansas City and worked in a munitions factory to help with the war effort. After the war she attended the University of Missouri where she received her degree in Home Economics. While at the university she met and married her husband, Jim in 1949, They were married for 70 years. Jo taught home economics until she and Jim started their family. She was a talented seamstress and was happiest when serving her family and friends and giving to others. During Jo and Jim’s life together they lived in Kansas City, KS, Jacksonville and Plantation, FL, and Columbia, SC before retiring to Greenwood.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church Greenwood, Circle 1, and the John Knox Sunday School class. Jo was a longtime PEO member.

Surviving are two daughters, Judy Sieckman and husband Len of Greenwood, and Joy Polak and husband Daniel of Greenville. Grandsons are Jeff Sieckman, wife Rebecca and daughter Lola James of Columbia, Mark Sieckman, wife Maria and daughters Alice and Helen of Frisco, TX, and Bradley Sieckman, wife Jessica and sons Jude and Charlie of Greenville.

Services will be Friday, January 19 at 11:00 at First Presbyterian Church of Greenwood. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
