Shirley Noahleen Berry, 75, of Ninety Six, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Noah and Ethel Son Berry. Noahleen was a woman of great faith, living her life in service to others and making a profound impact on all who knew her. She passionately embarked on a fulfilling career as a minister, sharing the teachings of her faith with unwavering devotion. Her dedication and love for God were the driving forces behind her work, and she touched countless lives through her sermons, counseling, and acts of kindness. Beyond her ministerial duties, Noahleen embraced the beauty of the outdoors. She found joy in activities such as fishing, spending time at the beach, and exploring the tranquility of the lake. Above all, she was a woman driven by love, compassion, always cared deeply for those around her and offered a listening ear, comforting support, and prayers for anyone in need. Noahleen’s love for storytelling and sharing her life experiences led her to write an autobiography, capturing her remarkable journey filled with faith, love, and the pursuit of her calling. She was a faithful member of i3 Ministry Center.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Trunelle Berry Carrol.
Surviving are her husband, Tommy Goree; children, Jennifer Swift and Jeffrey David Phillips; grandchildren, Shawn Swift, Noah Swift, Kaylee Phillips and Drew Phillips (Lauryn Landrith); and close family Wendy Phillips.
Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shawn Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service from 1-2pm.
