Jamie Ramm Named as New EHS Head Soccer Coach
Jamie Ramm has been named as Head Soccer Coach at Emerald High School. Ramm has served as the Director of Operations for the Lakelands Toros Soccer Club for the last five years.
Ramm received his Bachelor’s degree from Lander University in Exercise Science in 2011. He also obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Sport, Fitness,& Development from York College in York, England. During his time at Lander, Ramm played for the school’s soccer team from 2006-2009. Serving as Captain for the Lander Soccer Team, Ramm was a 2-time All American, 2-time Peach Belt Tournament MVP, 2-time Peach Belt Champion, and competed in four National Tournaments.
Ramm’s playing career also included stints with semi pro soccer teams in Greenwood, Ottawa, Canada, and England. Ramm has over 20 years of coaching experience with youth, women’s, high school, and adult soccer teams across the globe.
Ramm’s coaching career in Greenwood includes serving
as the Head Soccer Coach at Greenwood High School
from 2010-2012 and serving as a Youth Soccer Coach and Director of Coaching for the Lakelands Toros from 2008-2016.
Ramm stated, “I am excited about this next chapter in my coaching career. It is a privilege to be able to shape the lives of young men who will lead our school and community in the future. Emerald has a tradition of success in soccer and I look forward to leading the school back to prominence in our region and state.”
EHS Athletic Director Mack Hite stated, “Coach Ramm is an excellent coach and brings a ton of coaching and playing experience to our soccer program. His work with our youth through the Lakelands Toros program shows that he cares about our children and community. He has a proven track record of success and we are thrilled to welcome another outstanding head coach into the Vikings family.”
