Greenwood Police Officer Jonathan Link has confirmed to Greenwood Calendar that a shooting occurred at the Greenwood Burger King on Bypass 72 this morning.

“We got called around 9 a.m. about a man shot at Burger King,” Officer Link said.

The victim was hit 3 – 4 times and is at the hospital now.

Link stated the shooting appears to stem from a dispute at the Red Carpet Inn located across the street.

Detectives are working to identify the shooter. The condition of the victim is unknown.
