The Greenwood School District 50 Early Childhood Center
The Greenwood School District 50 Early Childhood Center provides a great start for our youngest learners! Our program is available for income-eligible children who are four-years-old on or before September 1, 2017. The program is a full-day learning experience with certified teachers. District 50 provides transportation to the Early Childhood Center.
Parents/guardians of rising pre-kindergarten students (four-year olds) may register at the Early Childhood Center located at 1125 East Cambridge Avenue. Registration packets are available at the school. Parents/guardians need to bring all required documents, including proof of residence, an official birth certificate, immunization record, Medicaid card, and income verification when registering a student for enrollment.
Enrollment for the 4K Child Development Education Program is non-discriminatory. In the event the number of income-eligible children exceeds the space available, the Early Childhood Center places the additional children on a waiting list. All registered students are baseline-tested using a school readiness-screening tool. Upon registration, the Early Childhood Center will share the screening date and time with the parents for their child.
For questions, please contact Mrs. Jean Powell, Director of the Early Childhood Center at 864-941-5520.
