Self Regional Healthcare Welcomes New Trustees

Self Regional Healthcare has welcomed three new members to its Board of Trustees. S.C. Governor Nikki Haley appointed construction business owner Hubert “Joe” Chandler; financial executive James M. Manley, Jr., CPA; and retired IBM executive Linda T. McDonald to six-year terms on the board.

The Self Regional Board of Trustees is comprised of individuals with a diverse set of skills and expertise who are charged with setting the strategic direction of the health system and improving the region’s health and access to care.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Joe, Jim and Linda to the Board of Trustees,” said Board Chairman Len Bornemann. “Our new members are very active civic leaders and devote their time and talents to making the Lakelands a better place to live. We are looking forward to their leadership and leveraging their perspective to continue our mission of improving the health of our region.”

Hubert “Joe” Chandler

Joe Chandler, President of Chandler Construction Services, Inc., has built his business into an award-winning commercial, industrial and residential development company with jobs around the Southeast. Mr. Chandler is also an active trustee at Wesley Commons, Hospice Care of the Piedmont and the Greenwood County Community Foundation. He previously served on Self Regional Healthcare’s Board from 2006-2012.

James M. Manley, Jr., CPAJim_Manley

As Managing Shareholder of Elliott Davis’ Greenwood office, James M. Manley, Jr., specializes in working with businesses, manufacturing and distribution, restaurants, contractors, medical and dental, governmental and non-profit entities on their tax, assurance, consulting and accounting needs.

He is a past board member of the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Board. He has also served on the boards of the Greenwood Family YMCA, Arts Center of Greenwood County, American Heart Association, Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, Piedmont Technical College and the Lander University School of Business.

Linda_McDonaldLinda T. McDonald

Since moving to the Greenwood area in 2002, Linda T. McDonald has been an involved civic leader. She is the Chairman of the Board of HospiceCare of the Piedmont and co-chair of the Church Council of Main Street United Methodist Church. Ms. McDonald is a retired executive from the IBM Corporation, where she worked in sales, marketing and consulting management.
