Put your writing, directing, acting and editing skills to the test with Lander University’s 7th Annual Short Film Competition.
The competition is open to filmmakers of all ages and skill levels. There are no thematic limitations for the films, which must be between three and five minutes long. Films must be shot and edited between Monday, March 14 and Monday, April 4. Applicants will be given specific lines that must be included in the finished, edited film. The completed short film must be submitted no later than Monday, April 4 at 5 p.m. to be eligible for the competition.
The competition is part of the 7th Annual Lander Film Festival, which will be held Saturday, April 9. The entry fee is $10 for students and $25 for the open division. This includes 1 ticket to the awards ceremony.
Fees (cash or check only) are due March 14 at 5 p.m. during the initial meeting in Lander’s Cultural Center Room 250 (Recital Hall).
Films will be judged during the week leading up to the festival, at which winners will be announced during an awards ceremony and winning-entry screening.
Competition prizes include:
* First Place Short Film ($100)
* Second Place Short Film ($50)
* Third Place Short Film ($25)
* High School Division Winner ($50)
* Open Division Winner ($50)
