Launch Party Set for Lander’s ‘New Voices’ Publication
GREENWOOD, S.C.—The community is invited to the launch of the 2025 edition of New Voices Wednesday,
January 22, at 7 p.m. in the Barksdale Recital Hall (CC 250) of the Abney Cultural Center at Lander University.
The event is free and open to the public.
About the Event:
Lander University’s student literary journal, New Voices publishes art, poetry,
personal reflections and creative pieces written by Lander students from all
disciplines. The publication is produced each fall semester by students taking
WRIT 405 at Lander. Student editors review submissions, choose essays for
inclusion, promote the journal and edit final selections. The journal is a
product of the Department of English and Foreign Languages at Lander, and
is sponsored by Laura Martin, assistant professor of English at Lander.
