John William Lecroy Obituary

John William Lecroy, 81, resident of Pinehurst Drive, husband of Mary Alice Staton Lecroy, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born January 20, 1943, in Anderson, he was a son of the late Katie Christine Hudgens Lecroy. He was a graduate of Townville High School. He retired from Davis & Floyd after 22 years as a Building Inspector. John loved fishing and woodworking and was an avid outdoorsman, Nascar and Clemson Tiger Football fan.

He attended Siloam Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years are three daughters, Beth (Blake) Keisler of Ninety Six, Kathy (Tim) Roach of Greenwood, and Jennifer (Jason) Scott of Camden; three brothers, Chester Lecroy, David (Kay) Lecroy, and Tom (Cheryl) Lecroy, all of Seneca; one sister, Marie Gibson of Walhalla; six grandchildren, Deirdre (Andy) Crosby, Logan (Abbi) Keisler, T.J. (Jen) Roach, Audra (Dyllan) Hinton, Haleigh Scott and Gracie Scott; and nine great-grandchildren, Anna, Presley, Austin, Graysen, Bella, Autumn, Brayden, Zoey and Lake.

John was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Lecroy and Millard Lecroy.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Ferqueron officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-5:30 Saturday afternoon.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Roach, Austin Roach, Andy Crosby, Logan Keisler, Dyllan Hinton, and Jamey Crawford.

The Lecroy family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers of Self Regional Healthcare for their care of John while in the hospital.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Parkinson’s Foundation.
