GHS Band, Best in the World
The Greenwood High School Spring Concert occurred Thursday, May 12. It marks the last concert for my son and the rest of the seniors. In this video excerpt my son Nicholas Stevenson begins the song “Tombolo” on the drums. He is joined next by Josh Hitesman; then Noah Parks. Logan Terry provided the comic relief. The second song is “Lightning Field” in which they are joined by the rest of the Greenwood High Symphonic Band. Kudos to Lance Stockton the GHS band director and Vernon Clamp, the middle school band director for Greenwood District 50. Greenwood Calendar has been to multiple band concerts at GHS over the years, this one was admittedly a much more complex arrangement, but the students excelled and received a standing ovation for their work.
