What do sounds and seeds have in common? They are two exhibits opening at The Museum in Greenwood on Thursday, May 31!
Discover the awesome power of sound in SONIC SENSATION! Create sound waves in a tube, match mystery sounds, test your hearing, conduct an orchestra with your body mix a soundtrack, and launch a sound wave toward an eardrum. See how many decibels you can produce in the Scream Chamber! SONIC SENSATION, created by Sciencenter in Ithaca, NY, is sponsored by the City of Greenwood, Greenwood County, Self Regional Healthcare, and Greenwood Ear Nose & Throat.
“Your success and pleasure are more to Park than your money.” This motto of George W. Park, founder of Park Seed, continues today as the company maintains the highest standards in products and service for the home gardener. The exhibit, PARK SEED – 150 YEARS, will celebrate the history of the company that inspired the South Carolina Festival of Flowers. Sponsored by Park Seed, this exhibit is an event of the SC Festival of Flowers.
Both exhibits will open on Thursday, May 31, at The Museum, located at 106 Main Street, with a reception from 5:00-7:00. The exhibits will be on display through the summer. Admission is free.
