My Momma’s Kitchen Exhibit Opening at The Museum

What memories from your momma’s kitchen bring back the warm memories of family and togetherness? Inspired by All Over but the Shoutin’ and The Best Cook in the World – Tales from My Momma’s Table, written by Pulitzer Prize winning author Rick Bragg, My Momma’s Kitchen celebrates the evolution of the kitchen and mommas everywhere. Items on display will include a 1937 refrigerator, 1935 stove, GE Monitor top, GE wringer washing machine, vintage cookware, cookbooks, recipes, and much more.
My Momma’s Kitchen, a Greenwood Reads exhibit, will open on Thursday, October 11, at The Museum in Greenwood, with a reception from 5:30-7:00. We invite you to come sample some of our mommas’ favorite recipes at the exhibit opening. The Museum is located at 106 Main Street in Greenwood, next door to the Greenwood Community Theatre.
