The Antiques Vintage and Design Show and Sale, will be held in the Medford Family Event Center at Piedmont Technical College, Friday through Sunday, June 9-11.
GPA executive director Cecily Ferguson, said the event has been months in the planning. “This will be a unique opportunity to view and purchase fine antiques from 30 national dealers from 13 states, stretching from Vermont to Florida, and Panama.” She added, “Sale items will include art, furniture, home décor, jewelry, rugs and collectibles.” On Friday and Saturday, there will be opportunities for attendees to have items appraised, and there will be free presentations by specialist exhibitors each day.
The event will open with a Champagne Soirée preview party on Thursday, June 8, featuring entertainment, and heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages catered by Seasons by the Lake, in Ninety Six. Tickets for the soirée are $75 each and include admission to all three days of the show. Purchasers will also be able to buy antiques and other items before they are offered to the general public.
Tickets for all three days of the show are priced at $10 each. The fee for appraisals is $10 per item or $25 for three. Food and beverages from Seasons by the Lake will be available Friday and Saturday.
Ferguson said there are many sponsorship and advertising opportunities available, the funds from which will also be directed to GPA to help the organization continue to offer enriching and educational entertainment in the Lakelands.
She characterized the show and sale as GPA’s most ambitious fundraiser and she expects it to become annual event.
She expressed her gratitude to show manager Charlie Miller of Miller, Hamilton, and Co.; co-chairs Kellar Rogers and Aaron Taylor, who are members of the GPA board of directors; and honorary chair Holly Bracknell, an adviser at Wells Fargo in Greenwood.
