Celebrating the Legacy – MLK Program

In celebrating the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., faculty and staff are invited to a program on Thursday morning (January 14).

8:00am
MLK Program in the CC-Auditorium.  This program features a performance by the MLK Community Choir followed by a Guest Speaker.  Mr Gerald Witt, assistant superintendent of Greenwood School District 50 will describe his personal experiences of life in in the late 60’s, particularly during the time when Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.  As a high school sophomore, Gerald Witt was one of the first black football players at Greenwood High School during a time of high racial tensions. This program is free and open to the public.

Lander University will be closed on Monday, January 18th in observance of the MLK Holiday.
