COUNTYBANK FOUNDATION SUPPORTS GREENWOOD YMCA
David Tompkins, Senior Vice President, Greenwood Market Executive of Countybank, and Rudy Painter, Vice President, Division Executive for Countybanc Insurance, recently presented a check for $10,000 to the Greenwood YMCA. The donation was given on behalf of the Countybank Foundation, which was established in 1971 and represents Countybank and Greenwood Capital.
“It is important that the people in our community have a positive place to focus their energy,” said Painter. “Giving to the Greenwood YMCA allows us to support a community and service-based organization that has an impact across Greenwood.”
The Greenwood YMCA offers a variety of programs from afterschool and summer camps to fitness and sports. Its mission is centered on putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy mind, body, and spirit.
“The Greenwood YMCA is very appreciative of the Countybank Foundation’s continued support,” said Brian Harlan, Lakelands Region YMCA CEO. “Their contributions help us build better programs and facilities, and ultimately a better community.”
The Countybank Foundation has a longstanding relationship with the Greenwood YMCA when it comes to giving. This year’s donation will help fund equipment for the YMCA, including the new TRX Suspension Training system.
“Countybank is honored to support the Greenwood YMCA, which promotes wellness and positively impacts our community,” said Tompkins. “We look forward to seeing the Greenwood Family YMCA continue to grow.”
