Lake Greenwood: Share Your History

Connect Lake Greenwood, as well as the Greenwood Regional Tourism and Visitors Bureau, are partnering together on efforts to learn and obtain more “history” on Lake Greenwood.

Some of these stories will be promoted via press releases, social media, news articles, etc.  Others will be used through interpretive signage as the Lake becomes a significant attraction with the SC National Heritage Corridor Great Outdoors program. Some of you will be invited for interviews.

So, what is your story? Or who do you know that has a great Lake Greenwood story?  It could be most anything related to the lakes history, but here are some ideas to consider:

Cultural history and/or current cultural and artistic areas of the lake (i.e., “shell wall”, international décor at your lakesite, etc.)

History of a particular area (the story of the Cunningham estate, plantation stories, etc.)

Significant stories of development on the Lake (something or some occurrence that might have changed history)

The sky is the limit – please submit, along with contact information, via email to info@connectlakegreenwood.org
