Drugs: National Take Back Initiative 10

The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office along with the Greenwood County Coroner’s Office and the

Greenwood City Police Department are partnering with DEA to conduct the tenth National Take Back

Initiative (NTBI) on September 26, 2015, for the collection of unused, expired or unwanted prescription

drugs.

Since participating in this program, we have recovered over 300lbs of unwanted, expired prescription

drugs that would have eventually found its way into our water system, land field or into the hands of

persons not prescribed this medication. We ask for each citizen to please bring your unwanted

medication to the Greenwood Jury Parking lot next to the Sheriff’s Office and we will forward the

unwanted medication to be properly disposed of.

Location: 528 Edgefield St. (parking lot next to Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office)

Time: 10am to 1Pm

Please keep in mind the follow restrictions: ONLY pills will be taken, no needles or liquids.
