96 Drumline to compete in World Finals

96 Drumline to compete in World Finals. From a small school district in a small town, a very special group of music students have come together. Playing a wide variety of percussion instruments, these students learn and perfect their performance to compete all over the Southeastern United States.

These students are together every day from July until April, rehearsing 2-4 hours a day, and are now ready to compete at the highest level!

Coming from a high-risk school with a high poverty rate, it is unbelievable the achievements and accomplishments these students have made over the past few seasons.

After winning their first WGI Regional Championship, first CWEA Championship, and back-to-back State Championships, The Ninety Six High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble is ready to take on WGI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!

If you are able, consider donating to the 96 Drumline.

Greenwood Habitat – Helping make Greenwood Great

Greenwood Habitat – Helping make Greenwood Great. Watch Greenwood Area Habitat for Humanity executive director Chas Charles talk about the accomplishments and needs of a very important agency to our wonderful city.

About Greenwood Habitat for Humanity: Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds simple, decent houses with the help of homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are SOLD to partner families at no-profit and are financed with affordable, zero-interest loans at terms of 20 years. The homeowner’s monthly mortgage payments are used to build other Habitat houses. In addition to the monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest 500 hours of their own labor (also called “sweat equity”) into building their Habitat house and the houses of others.
